Koza Gold Operations Company is a Turkish company founded to explore and operate gold mines in Turkey. KOZA GROUP has acquired all the shares of Normandy Madencilik A.S. from Newmont Mining Corporation Limited in March 2005 thus becoming first Turkish company in the history of Republic of Turkey to realize gold production in this country Company’s Ovacik Gold Mine situated at Bergama, Izmir has been a key factor in turning the country’s big gold potential into economical gain and it is the first gold mine operated in the Republic of Turkey. With its current productions at Izmir (Bergama) Ovacik, Izmir (Dikili)-Cukuralan, Izmir- Coraklitepe, Gumushane-Mastra ,Eskisehir- Kaymaz and Kayseri-Himmetdede mines, Koza plans to increase the productions by putting mine reserves into operation in the Aegean and East Anatolian regions of Turkey in near future.
