www.itmission.kerala.gov.inKerala State Information Technology Mission (KSITM) is a Society registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific & Charitable Societies Registration Act (Act 12 of 1955). It is an autonomous nodal IT implementation agency for Department of Information Technology, Government of Kerala which provides managerial support to various e-Governance initiatives of the Department. Establish Kerala a Knowledge Powered Digital Society through application of Digital Technologies in areas of Digital Citizenship,Digital Lifestyle and Digital commerce; within the governing principles of Freedom, Ubiquity, Inclusion, Transparency, Safety and Security for all; aligned to technology trends, citizen and industry needs; to provide overall social and economic empowerment of citizens. Government of Kerala recognises the critical importance of ICT as the key vehicle for the State’s overall equitable development and reiterates its commitment to the sector. IT Mission shall ,directly and through sub agencies support the e-governance projects in Govt. departments. The proactive policy of the State Government in allowing the telecom service providers to network the State through Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) has enabled its citizens to get online, both through broadband and mobile. The Government's vision is to turn Kerala into knowledge society with sustainable economic growth, social harmony and high quality of life for all. The Government considers it its mission to achieve this vision through proactive measures meant to accelerate the process of transforming the State into a knowledge society. In keeping with the democratic traditions of the country, the Government will ensure that all sections of the society are included in this process of transformation and will adopt conscious, positive steps to confirm the inclusion of the disadvantaged sections of society in the transformation process.
