Aeronautical Society of India, founded on December 27, 1948 with Shri Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of independent India as its First Chief Patron , has been on the forefront on all aerospace activities contributing to the growth and self reliance in aerospace in India. The Society claims huge membership from HAL, NAL, ISRO, DRDO, Armed forces, Private industries and Academia. It is very active in its role for providing platform for the fraternization amongst Aerospace professionals. It has regional centers all over India.
