In addition to managing and operating emergency and non-emergency medical services in several Canadian provincial and municipal government jurisdictions, Medavie Health Services also has a long history of providing innovative Community Paramedicine programs and delivering Mobile Integrated Health Services. In 2012, Medavie HealthEd was established, following the consolidation of two professional training colleges that previously operated in Maritime Canada. Combined, these institutions represent over 25 years of experience, delivering professional, clinical education programs to thousands of students. Since its inception, Medavie HealthEd has had thousands of students successfully graduate its Primary Care and Advanced Care Paramedic training programs. Additionally, as a long time, valued partner of the Department of National Defence (DND), Medavie HealthEd has also produced hundreds of DND graduates as part of their QL3 and QL5 Medical Technician training pathways. Across its facilities in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Saskatchewan, Medavie HealthEd offers paramedic training programs that are accredited by Accreditation Canada.
