The Michigan AfterSchool Association is a 501c3 membership association, governed by a 12-person board of directors, and is the state affiliate of the National AfterSchool Association. OUR MISSION The Michigan AfterSchool Association (MAA) works to build a field of professionals that develop, support, and promote quality out-of-school-time (OST) programs for children and youth. OUR VISION All youth have access to high quality out-of-school-time opportunities in Michigan. MAA provides: Quality statewide out-of-school time professional development to both MAA Members and Non-members. Two annual conferences for out-of-school-time Michigan Afterschool Association Programs for Youth Out-of-School Time Professionals. Support of the Michigan Afterschool Collaborative (MAC) Conference in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education and the Michigan After-school Partnership. Electronic newsletter will with current resources and events. A comprehensive website with publications, resources, and services that reflect best-practice thinking of the profession.
