SOHO was found in 2011, back in the days when Principal Architect Suhail A.K started practicing as a small office at home office, which gave the comfort of home space with the flexibility of work space. When the firm expanded in 2016, the small office home office perception was stuck and was known as SOHO since then. At SOHO, we believe in the profound sense of people and place, surroundings and culture, techniques and materials. There are no hard cut design philosophies we adhere by, but our design values the nature of being, about the happening of place and how occupants address it. We believe that the true essence of architecture lies in the collective holistic approach. Our concern lies in how to claim the space and how each project is responsive to its place, time and individual. This translates every one of our commissions into as unique and as diverse as its users. SOHO approaches the design as a process which beautifully unfolds into a series of ideas and relentlessly working up on it to nurture the project. We believe the designs evolve with time, which naturally weaves itself, often surprised by the ultimate outcome evolving from how we move with distinct ideas. Our exteriors and landscape also function by the same principle, because we believe in the every bit of designing for people and not the other way around. We believe in the simplicity and humbleness of a design which shapes the project into a sensible work of art; having an eye for details to perfection, cause devil sure is in the details. SOHO believes in practising what we preach; in creating expressions of our ideologies.
