International Network for the Promotion of Arts of Speech in ACP (INPAS) - RIPAO
www.ripao.orgINPAS (or RIPAO in french) is an NGO with international, non-political and laic vocation with non-lucrative goal, which mission is to promote, in all its forms of expression, traditional and modern orality in the countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. With members present in more than twenty countries, we intend to make orality an engine for endogenous and exogenous development, to encourage intercultural orality as the source of civilizations dialogues. If the practice of orality is old, that of educational structured debate escapes any classification. INPAS thus takes part in the institutionalization, the accompaniment and the supervision of the emergent societies of public speaking, as well as the implementation of public speaking programs in a ludic form in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. By democratizing the practice of public speaking, INPAS contributes to the enhancement of the traditional oral immaterial heritage and to the reinforcement of the capacities of the populariser of traditional orality in order to boost the performances of modern public speakers. We exert an informational supervision on events related to neo-orality, supervised its tendencies and its impact on youth.
