THE MENFORMATION PROJECT is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization providing high-quality group mentoring and rites of passage for boys of color (ages 8 to 17 year old) who need positive male role models and friends. Our mission is to help our boys succeed in school and stay out of jail !!! Our team of mentors inspire at-risk boys to live a life of integrity guided by the 22 Principles of Manhood. We match groups of boys together with teams of mentors from all walks of life, in a safe & fun environment to share life-skills and goal setting tools to encourage and cultivate positive growth in character, educational aptitudes and financial literacy. Studies have shown that when boys are mentored well ~ 98% stay in school; 98% do not become teen parents; 85% do not use drugs; and 98% avoid gang participation.
