Started as a DJ company in 2003 by two sixteen year olds, Hurricane evolved from a two-person team to a network over 50 professionals. It's main driver of revenue is events, video, web. Portfolio includes Collegiate, Corporate and Private events (Weddings, Galas, Awards Ceremonies). The company operates on efficiency and opportunity. The team communicates through optimal software integrations and its data is stored on a custom cloud server - allowing contractors to work from virtually anywhere. The core team is operated by five full-time employees. The team relies on expert vendor partners and independent contractors to offer a full suite of services to clients. Hurricane's is young and innovative but established and consistent - it's steady renewals of quarterly and annual events keeps the team focused as it grows. Hurricane's co-founders, Strato Doumanis and Vincent Velasquez, met as high school students at St. John Vianney. The two quickly found ways to build a friendship and a business. They leveraged early adaptations of Google and Facebook to drive leads to their business. That revenue stream (and the investment into key employees) helped them open a second business focused on tech innovation. Hurricane Innovation (also know as MediaCutlet) is Vincent and Strato's relationship built to scale. The two compliment each other in many ways - but their ability to create revenue streams and new digital opportunities in a consultative mindset is an asset to changing and growing businesses. Both Hurricane Productions and MediaCutlet are in growth phases but in different ways. Hurricane Productions might be viewed as a startup by outsiders, but the company's revenue is stable. Strato and Vincent are using that data to leverage more initiatives. Current initiatives include expanding its Corporate AV services through its CaneAV.com site, the launch of an internal affiliate program, and enhancements to eCommerce on its network of websites.
