OUR MISSION The mission of the Cortlandt Community Rowing Association is to promote health, fitness and the benefits of team participation through the sport of rowing to people of all ages, experience and ability levels, with an emphasis on youth development. This mission includes improving each individuals physical and mental health; developing an appreciation for natural resources, the Hudson river in particular (a American Heritage River) and be a source of environmental awareness and environmental education; introducing people to the sport of rowing that teaches the value of teamwork, the necessity of practice, hard work, time management, and water safety awareness; the development of healthy minds and bodies through the personal and physical challenges of team sport; and the opportunity for continued physical fitness and team camaraderie throughout life.
