Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Desportivo
www.ibdd.com.brFinding a home for Sports Law in Brazil; that is why on June 05, 2001 a group of lawyers created the Brazilian Sports Law Institute (Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Desportivo - IBDD). Who we are. Our goal is Brazilian Sports Law development. We are a nonprofit organization that is apolitical and serves as an independent home to Sports Law in Brazil, without ties to a specific club or university. We promote sports law-related research & development initiatives, and nurture sports law-related academic activities. What we do. To get there, we house academic and professional initiatives. On our academic side we promote events, workshops, seminars and cultural activities as well as host a study group to further information exchange. We are proud to organize the Brazilian Sports Law Review (Revista Brasileira de Direito Desportivo – RBDD). On our professional side we focus on networking opportunities and aim on bringing together Brazilian and overseas professionals. Advisory board. IBDD counts with the support of the main Brazilian sports lawyers since its inception who form our advisory board. Álvaro Melo Filho, Carlos Miguel Aidar, Valed Perry (in memoriam) and Marcílio Krieger (in memoriam) are part of our legacy and have helped us get here. Executive Board. IBDD relies on imminent Brazilian sports lawyers on our day-to-day operations. Leonardo Andreotti P. de Oliveira (President), Gustavo Lopes P. de Souza (Vice-President), Eduardo Berol da Costa (Treasury Director) and Fernanda B. Bini (Secreaty General) are part of our executive board. André Luis Bugarim, Caio P. Medauar de Souza, Fabiano de O. Costa, Marcelo Jucá Barros e Roberto Pugliese Jr serve as our appointed directors. Coordinators. IBDD is proud of having a team of sports lawyers act as our regional liaisons and help extend our reach throughout Brazil. Members. Our members list is publicly available at our website, and we invite you to join and be part of our institution.
