The Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Politecnico di Torino (CSSAPolito)
didattica.polito.itAbout us The Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Politecnico (CSSA Polito) is a non-profit association whose mission is to connect two different and remote cultures by working on the social integration of the chinese student community in the italian society as well as to allow others to get to know more about the chinese culture. CSSA Polito is a subpart of the main association Chinese Students and Scholars Union in Italy (CSSUI) and we receive and follow the guidance given by the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Rome. As of now, aside from the CSSUI, CSSA Polito is actually the only student association who is also registered with the Italian government and that’s why it is the only official and legitimate Chinese student organization present at the Politecnico of Torino. We as an association strongly believe in the concept “with great power comes great responsibility” and, unlike the previous generation, we will represent each and every chinese student by giving them the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns because we have the capability, the grit, the passion, the will as well as the need to help them as proof that also the chinese community is willing to open itself. The main goals of this association are then: 1. To build and strengthen the connection between the chinese students and all the other students present here in order to provide a peaceful stay and integration. 2. To organize social and cultural events, in order to stimulate the integration by the chinese students in the italian society, both independently and in collaboration with other association and organizations. 3. To represent the chinese students and to voice their concerns and opinions whenever needed in order to avoid unfairness and discrimination against the chinese students community. 4. To gather and build a database of alumni of different courses, such as engineering, medicine, architecture and so on, which will be helpful for future collaborations.
