And to spread awareness within the Jewish communities Crohn's & Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that can lead -if not taken care of it- to life-threatening complications, the exact cause is unknown, & because a cure is not yet known, one has to learn how to live with the complications that occur with the disease. the "Jewish Crohn’s & Colitis Support Group" (JCCSG) organization's goal is to educate the orthodox Jewish community how to live with it & learn how to treat it & how to avoid food that triggers symptom’s which may allow to self-manage your Crohn's & colitis disease, & reduce gastrointestinal symptoms. it appears to be a link between the development of the disease & people of Jewish ancestry, & is more common in whites, particularly Eastern European Ashkenazi Jews, According to the latest studies Crohn's disease is two to three times more common in those with Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry, Support groups are so important for those suffering from this painful condition, It is so easy to feel all alone when u are hurting or depressed, but it doesn’t have to be that way, JCCSG already made such a big difference for many sufferers, there are so many benefits to having other people to talk to about this disease & how its affecting your life, it can be such a wonderful feeling when someone can help, they know what u are going through, JCCSG has many ways to interact & share your knowledge & experience, It's your chance to be around people who are dealing with the same issues as u do & understand you best.
