The Center is one of 500 Children’s Advocacy Centers nationwide, 71 in Texas and the first in Hidalgo County. The Center serves children 2 – 17 years of age who have been sexually, physically, emotionally abused or neglected. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused by the age of 18. We can't change what happened but we can change what happens next. Our purpose is to lessen the trauma and to help restore hope in the lives of children who have been abused.
