The Repatriation Medical Authority is a specialist medical research body established to investigate the relationship between any disease, injury or death and military service. It consists of a panel of five practitioners eminent in fields of medical science who are supported by a dedicated research staff of seven medical researchers who have medical and scientific qualifications. The Authority determines Statements of Principles which set out the factors connecting the circumstances of military service to a particular kind of disease, injury or death.
