Butterfly Loft is an award winning, green certified, upscale salon and spa located in Los Angeles (Encino.) Opened in 2010 by owners David and Alexis Thurston, Butterfly Loft is now home to 51 salon professionals. The salon has earned green certification. In 2013, Butterfly Loft was selected as the World Model Salon by Wella / Proctor and Gamble for it’s eco-friendly procedures, implementation, and design. Known as a hub of education in Los Angeles, Butterfly Loft has presented and hosted over twenty major in-salon education events, hosting stylists from as far south as San Diego and as far north as Santa Barbara. In 2011, 2012, and 2013 Butterfly Loft was selected as the exclusive salon for Los Angeles’ most important fashion show, providing backstage hair services for the world’s top models and top designers, including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Giorgio Armani, Carl Lagerfeld, and more. The salon has been featured in the leading salon publications, including Allure Magazine, Launchpad, American Salon Magazine, and California Stylist magazine. In 2013, it was voted as “Best Salon in the Valley” in Ventura Blvd Magazine.
