PURPOSE: The purpose of Lancaster County Department of Economic Development (LCDED) is to support and build the economic climate of Lancaster County in order to improve its economic future and quality of life for all. We develop and maintain an investment climate that is attractive both nationally and internationally as well as encourages the growth and sustainability of our existing industries. LCDED is a member of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, a nonprofit, public/private economic development organization representing the 16-county Charlotte Region. We incorporate the partnership between local government and the private sector functions for planning, business development, infrastructure construction, real estate development and finance.
