Reminder Project
www.heresyourreminder.orgHere’s Your Reminder: A movement who encourages you to be deliberate with your kindness - Combating depression and strengthening relationships. Did you know feeling worthless, that you're only a bother to others and no one truly cares for you, even in reality is not at all true, is a side affect of depression and anxiety? Our organization is a 501c3 that advocates for those who suffer with mental illness. We know the importance of a support team and knowing you're loved and you matter. Reminder Project has 2 main purposes: Starting conversations. We are showing the community that those who battle depression and anxiety are normal everyday people, not just the "crazies" Hollywood shows us. We educate, bring awareness and remind those who need it, that they are not alone. Susie Martin, the founder and Executive Director will come speak to your group, share her story, giving insight on depression, anxiety and other mental illness from her own personal experience. Also, inspiring deliberate kindness in your personal relationships and work culture, why it’s so important and how simple it really is. Inspiring & Creating Kindness Reminders. We all crave daily acknowledgment, knowing we matter to someone, it’s a natural human need. Having and feeling this strengthens our relationships and inspires us to reach our full potential of happiness. We help with this by inspiring daily kindness reminders. Through our social media, we encourage you to join the #ReminderChallenge: Doing 1 intentional act of kindness for a person in your life, every day! We also we create customized "Not-So-Random-Act-of-Kindness" for a person who is struggling with situational depression by acknowledging/validating them as a valuable person, reminding them that they're loved and by helping to remove the "trigger" that is weighing them down. These recipients are nominated to us by either their loved ones or a counselor. We team up with local businesses to make the act of kindness happen. Are you a business or group who would like to sponsor a "Not-So-Random-Act-of-Kindness"?
