Horse O Peace Ranch

The Beginning Horse ‘O Peace Ranch began on a hobby farm in Wisconsin. My older sister had milking goats, and I decided to try my hand at soapmaking to use up some of the excess goat milk. As I got all the ingredients and equipment together for making my first batch, I excitedly told my friends about what I was about to try. They had an event coming up in 10 days, and told me to make a batch, bring it with me and teach other people how I did it. I agreed, though I was quite nervous since I hadn’t made a batch yet. I went to the event and began selling soap from the first batch I made 10 days prior, and explained to people that it needed extra cure time. That was in March of 2008. A Purpose For years I had wanted a home business, but no matter what my talents were, it was never used to start a business. Then, one day, God took something I knew nothing about, and put me in charge of it. Soapmaking. From the first opportunity to sell the soap at that event held by my friends, I had to trust God every step of the way because I didn’t know what I was doing. Soon I was learning about the science of soap making, marketing, design, how to interact with customers, etc. All of the success of Horse ‘O Peace Ranch belongs to God. We encourage you to get to know our family and our business through the markets we attend, and through our Facebook page. Tell us about your experience with Horse ‘O Peace Ranch soaps!
