The Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science provides an accelerated, immersive curriculum for the state’s gifted and talented 11th and 12th grade students. Specifically designed to challenge students to push themselves academically, all courses at MSMS are taught at an honors level or above. In addition to over 100 different courses to choose from, MSMS students also have the option to take courses at Mississippi University for Women and Mississippi State University at no additional cost. Any Mississippi resident who is a current high school sophomore can apply to attend MSMS. We accept applications from students who attend public schools, private schools or are homeschooled. We are looking for applicants who show a history of outstanding academic achievement, a passionate curiosity about the world around them, and the desire to work for what they want to achieve.
