The Institute of Fire Science has been training people in the science behind a property fire for years. We believe that many claims professionals, if equipped with the best knowledge possible, can help to reduce risk exposure and properly adjust a claim. It is easy to see fire and understand the damage being caused by the flames, but there is much more to the loss than that. Heat, chemical burns, materials, causation, and more are all important factors in understanding the loss. Our instructors are knowledgeable and provide a truly engaging class environment. The Institute provides classroom and hands-on instruction, including live burn exercises, to all fire investigators from the beginner to the seasoned veteran. Instruction is also provided to insurance adjusters and attorneys at the Institute of Fire Science™ classroom and laboratory facility in New Hampshire and our satellite locations in NY, NJ, NC, DL & IN. Presentations about fire scene investigation, NFPA 921, and subrogation are conducted throughout the country and are available upon request
