IES is a non-for-profit association that is a world-class research and education centre on Social Entrepreneurship, based in Portugal and mainly directed to the Portuguese-speaking countries (CPLP). Founded in 2008, it is a hub of energies from different entities, individuals and initiatives from different sectors that strive to solve neglected social and environmental problems with innovative, sustainable and scalable solutions. Besides scientific research, it creates and shares knowledge based on field research and direct support to and sharing with social entrepreneurs.
