HackSI is a yearly event held at the Dunn-Richmond Center on the SIU campus in Carbondale, IL. The event started in 2013 as an attempt to show that Southern Illnois has access to world class technology. Since it's inception, HackSI has grown into a vibrant community of more than 250 hackers aged 7 to 70. The HackSI Foundation is a registered not for profit in the state of Illinois as of December 2016. We are currently working to fulfill the requirements for federal 501(c)3 status.
