www.upgrade-code.orgCode is the new way to interact with computers, mobiles, tablets and any digital instrument. In every kitchen, the oven is now "codable": we set the program, the timing and the different steps to succeed a delicious receipt. Now, beyond coding, the thinking behind is what we call "Algorithmic Thinking": the way we organize our thinking to solve a problem. This proceeding is millennial and is not tied to computers. The discipline itself was born with "Aljaber Alkhawarizmi" who was the first to formally study "Algebra" and the first to implement "Algorithms". At school, "Algorithmic Thinking" is for practical life what "Mathematics" is for theoretical life. Upgrade-Code.org is a new initiative to spread the teaching of kids from 4 to 104 years old through: * Coding workshops using platforms: - code.org: code training (plugged and unplugged workshops) - scratch.mit.edu: application creation platform - appinventor.mit.edu: mobile application creation plateform * Electronic and digital workshops using development boards: - Raspberry Pi (embedded with a local scratch.mit.edu platform) - Arduino - Propeller processor - ... Many others * Robotics (which is the future in all the cases): - Lego Mindstorm NXT and EVO - Robots in kits - Robots from recycled material - IA workshops ... etc...
