Malaika Path

malaika-path.business.site

Our tale begun in 2010. Surrounded by immense stories of poverty, sickness, lethargy, poor self-esteem, lost opportunities, and a lot more, the missing link is the lack of knowledge to inspire one towards one's next key goal. What started out as a dream to open the doors of many African families to a world of insight, finally fashioned into a training institution that focuses on ‘’out of class conversations’’ on matters that shape our livelihood; matters which are never taught within the confines’ of our school domain. Sub-Saharan Africa hosts majority of persons living below the poverty line, with Uganda at about 43%. More than half of Uganda’s population is below 15 years of age and there is no active agenda preparing this youthful generation to take charge of their own destinies. Of the slightly over 40m population, employment rates are still low and worse still the savings culture among those that earn very poor. It is estimated that only 2m Ugandans have a regulated retirement savings scheme, raising the dependency burden on the employed, and yet only a thready percentage of that achieve financial independence when they finally retire. At Malaika Path we believe that if we empower people to understand the dots that surround them, we can challenge and influence their collective psyche to take charge of their destiny. By equipping them with the right information to inspire them to make the right decisions at every point in their lives, snowballing change will start to emerge. Today, we are privileged to have engaged hundreds of individuals across varying industries and sectors and still counting. With our life changing modules within Uganda, we hope to scale this up to other sub Saharan countries within the coming years. Malaika Path Mission To awaken the need for a critical, collaborative and creative psyche that will inspire us to address the challenges we face as a continent through a learning, unlearning and relearning process.
