The Universal Design for Learning Implementation and Research Network (UDL-IRN) is a grassroots organization that supports the scaled implementation and research related to Universal Design for Learning. Through collaboration, we support and promote the identification and development of models, tools, research, and practices designed to foster effective UDL implementation in educational environments. We encourage and welcome participation in these discussions. The mission of the UDL-IRN is to support the design of equitable, beneficial and meaningful learning environments for all learners. The focus of our work is to support the purposeful integration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and iterative design-based thinking to support the learner variability that exists in all learning environments. As a mission driven organization we are focused on the following activities: - Identification and dissemination of models of best practice. - Identification and dissemination of effective implementation tools. - Supporting and expanding of the implementation research base. - Fostering high-quality personnel preparation and professional development. - Promoting increased networking and collaboration across educational stakeholders.
