Mission Statement The purpose of Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Supporters Association is to ensure the safety of Maroochydore beachgoers and the development of our local community through the maintenance of the financial viability of Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club. To best achieve this goal, it is our objective to become the best Supporters Association of any community club in Queensland. We shall achieve by the offering of consistent, quality product and outstanding customer service. Vision for the Club: Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club boasts some of the community’s hardest working and talented volunteers, all of whom perform a valuable service by helping to keep the Maroochydore beach fatality free for over 100 years. The club now focuses on its future with its strategic plan, identifying its goals and priorities as well as measuring the clubs success against these targets while reflecting a strong commitment to excellence in operational and management areas. Maroochydore SLSC is conscious of the need for a strategic plan that meets the needs of the community and its members. The club is a valued protector and an icon of the shires coastline, allowing residents and visitors to safely enjoy the wealth of the ocean. The board is committed to improvement and ongoing maintenance of the club and its facilities continually upgrading to which budgeted funds are allocated annually. The clubs performance is measured through the use of quantitative and qualitative benchmarks. The directors use these benchmarks to assess the clubs financial sustainability and whether the long and short term objectives are being achieved. The club will develop financial diversity using innovative solutions and service efficiencies to achieve long term financial viability: • Actively engage commercial opportunities through the use of the clubs existing or future assets • Matching our club facilities to sponsorship opportunities • Capture the knowledge base of funding resources and make it accessible
