People Against Poverty is an independent registered charity which aims to bring together a global community of the like-minded, whose shared intention is to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world. We channel our resources into projects, which help on the ground through local partnerships, networks and individuals connecting them with international projects that inspire us. We work with those who have a gift for their work, and a clear vision for what they wish to achieve. This helps us change lives by meeting basic needs: food, housing, education, shelter, giving people legitimacy and legal status. Our projects are designed to empower greater self-sufficiency, new hope and a more sustainable future – a handshake, not a hand out. The Youth Ambassador's Scheme was created to help meet the targets and missions of the People Against Poverty charity; aiming to involve Youth in our global mission of alleviating poverty. We believe that a youth perspective is absolutely vital to continued success and growth for our charity and want to further our current relationships with UK Schools by electing ‘PaP Youth Ambassadors.’ Our network of Youth Ambassadors will be supported and equipped with resources and opportunities to effectively act as representatives, fundraisers and campaigners for People against Poverty.
