Texas Tech University – Costa Rica is the first satellite campus for Texas Tech University, a state public institution established in 1923, with its home campus in Lubbock, Texas, USA. It has a total enrollment of more than 36,000 students and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Commission on Colleges, with five Texas regional sites located in Abilene, Amarillo, Fredericksburg, Highland Lakes and Junction, plus a study abroad center in Seville, Spain.
