Backers Maschinenbau GmbH is a traditional company with its roots in smithery. Founded in the early 19th century, the family-owned enterprise today is managed already in the sixth and seventh generation, together by Heinz Backers and Christian Backers. Since 1989, we have specialized ourselves in the development and production of modern starscreen machinery. These are employed, for example, in the waste disposal industry, in agriculture or in road construction and civil engineering. Our customers are from all over the world: The starscreens with the yellow star are known in Italy and France as well as in Japan, Australia and the USA. We manufacture all of our machines in CE conformity. The machine parts of the starscreens are manufactured partly in in-plant production but also in cooperation with long-time suppliers. Backers starscreen machines are exclusively finally assembled at the Twist (Germany) location. Here we employ a staff of more than 35 individuals right now.
