Westminster Working Cultures (WWC) is a University-wide initiative designed to enhance the employability of University of Westminster undergraduate students, through utilising the support of our global network of alumni and partners. The WWC programme features the following branches of activity, which offer free short-term mobility opportunities to several global destinations, as well as local programmes in the UK and skills development opportunities: - WWC UK features a series of 3-5-day employability programmes, skills development workshops and events which students can participate in throughout the year alongside their studies, giving them a chance to experience work insights and employment culture in the UK. - WWC International provides short-term mobility opportunities to students (up to 10 days), giving them the chance to experience work insights and employment culture in some of the world’s major cities. - WWC Professional delivers professional development activity (one-off events) in select regions and countries around the world, offering students an insight into the working environment from Westminster graduates who live and work there. WWC has been running since 2017 when the first group of students travelled to Hong Kong where they undertook a combination of work shadowing, seminars and workshops offered by Westminster alumni. The programme is run by the Alumni Relations Office who work closely with partner institutions and senior alumni based in major cities around the world to support students to experience the local working culture and gain insights to help them on their professional journey.
