Living for Logan
www.livingforlogan.orgLiving for Logan is a non-profit organization formed, as many are, in the wake of a senseless tragedy. On September 15, 2016, as the Scherer family waited at the tail end of a traffic jam, another driver—so distracted by his phone he failed to see the brake lights for nearly 1/4 mile—slammed into the back of their SUV at more than 90 mph. Logan, their 9-year-old son, was killed instantly. L4L is principally focused on increasing public awareness of the problem of distracted driving, promoting change in personal habits of drivers while operating a motor vehicle, helping prevent, fight, and ultimately end distracted driving, supporting the victims of distracted driving and their families, and working with corporations to create employee safety policies.
