CIELS Bologna offers a 3-years Bachelor Degree in Translation and Interpreting. Trained students enter the job market as specialized interpreters and translators, with a strong command of key translation techniques and a working knowledge of the professional sectors they are going to work in, such as legal, business, tourism, cooperation, or international organizations. The program is organized around 3 pillars: Modern Foreign Languages All students learn English to a very high professional standard and a second language of their choice. They can also learn a third and fourth language. Translation and Interpreting Techniques The program has a strong practical focus. Students learn and practice specific techniques of both written and oral translation for several hours a week. This include literary and technical translation as well as dialogic and consecutive interpretation. If they wish to do so, they can also train in conference interpreting in our brand new dedicated room. Specialization 5 eligible courses allow students to specialize in the professional sector of their choice - International and Diplomatic Organizations - Social Security and Defence (Criminology) - International Marketing, Communication, and PR - Tourist Management and International Trade - Intercultural Studies and Cooperation CIELS Bologna offers many practical and innovative workshops, including an innovative digital marketing lab that encourages students to manage the school's Instagram profile independently. The course includes a study or work experience in Italy or abroad via the Erasmus + program.
