The main objective of the studio is the actor training, production and promotion of theatrical plays, short (and other) films and other performing arts . Other objectives of the society inter-alia include furtherance of literature, creative arts related to theatre and films and other art forms, and making available to its members resources connected thereto. From the beginning, MFTS have offered an intensive, weekend Acting workshop course and a weekend course held at the New Delhi Studio and intensive, weekday course (currently the 3 -month Diploma in Film Acting) Moonlight Studio has set the standard for professional training in acting schools. MFTS consistently ranks as one of the top acting courses in India. Its Diploma in Film Acting and Filmamking Course is the most comprehensive, intensive and challenging course for beginning actors in the country.
