Starbucks Middle East

www.starbucks.ae

Expect more than just coffee at Starbucks, one of the region’s best-known and most-loved companies. It is much more than just a company that purchases, roasts, and serves award-winning coffee. It is where conversations brew, new connections spark and positivity breeds. From a single store in Seattle during the 1970s, Starbucks has come a long way by bringing people together, serving ethically sourced coffee, caring for the environment, and giving back to the communities. It’s not unusual to see people coming to Starbucks to chat, meet up or even work. Starbucks is a neighbourhood gathering place, a part of the daily routine – and we couldn’t be happier about it. The Starbucks journey in the Middle East started with Alshaya with the first store opening in Kuwait, early in 1999. Today, we have over 900 stores spread across 10 countries in Mena: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Oman, Bahrain, and Morocco, with a diverse workforce of 50 nationalities. From the first store to the latest store, our passion for a memorable cup of coffee is undiminished. Our dream is to take all our customers through an exceptional experience while caring for the environment and contributing to the community. At Starbucks, we strive to create a culture that values and respects diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to build a diverse workforce, increase competencies, shape a culture of inclusion, and develop a diverse network of suppliers. Our welcoming work environment encourages partners to engage with one another and make Starbucks a place they look forward to working in each day. Throughout all this, Starbucks mission remains steadfast: To inspire and nurture the human spirit - one person, one cup, and one neighbourhood at a time.
