CIFS aims to strengthen the decision-making process in public and private organizations by creating awareness of the future and highlighting its importance for the present. Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies has been contributing knowledge and inspiration to decision making since 1970. Through research, analyses, seminars, presentations, reports, and digital content, we advice on the future. Our methodology ranges from statistically-based analysis and identification of global megatrends, even more subjective and emotional factors of importance for the future. The Institute's work is interdisciplinary and our team represents diverse academic and professional backgrounds such as economics, political science, ethnography, psychology, engineering, communications and sociology. Through lectures, consulting projects, courses and workshops the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies acts as a partner in the long-term strategic planning of different industries and sectors.
