Our work is concerned with the concepts of circular economy, which is interpreted by Ellen Macarthur Foundation as one that is restorative and regenerative by design as opposed to the current “take, make and dispose” industrial model. Through our practice, we engage with socio-economic and political challenges in the areas of consumption, manufacture, re-use management and localization. The above is implemented through our research into such regenerative materials as natural fibres, raw matter recovered from industrial waste, bio plastics as well as studio practice that involves applying circular design thinking principles that are discussed in the Circular Design Guide by IDEO and Cradle-to-Cradle methodology. We are passionate about reimagining the way things are made and apart from developing closed-loop materials and products, we help design lean manufacturing systems, that are thought to be waste-free, net carbon, regenerative and future-ready. We are a team of product designers who have been engaged with the concept of sustainability and circular economy throughout our studies and professional practice for the past 3 years. Our shared passion for using design to create a healthier environment, society and economy has brought us together to bring about the long needed change.
