Young Africa FOUNDATION
www.youngafrica.net“An Ingenious Way To Triple The Socio-Economic Impact Of Grant Funding In Africa.” Africa is the Continent of Youth. Africa has 200 million youth aged 18-24. This is the ‘Fulcrum Point’ of positive socio-economic change on the continent. Let’s develop the potential of these young people over the next 5-10 years, through promoting positive values, enabling skills development and growing SMMEs across the continent on a MASS SCALE! Africa’s economy will BOOM. In fact, Africa can grow into the ‘key economic driver’ of the whole world, as these 200 million young people work to build a high quality of life for themselves and their families. The Young Africa FOUNDATION is a non-profit instrument, which forms part of the greater 'Young Africa VISION' - an innovative turnaround strategy for a continent of youth. The Young Africa FOUNDATION raises grant funding internationally to finance the 'Young Africa REWARDS' - a digital point system, which makes it possible for youth volunteers across Africa to earn 'rewards' in the form of points, for completing tasks in support of a Christian-based non-profit organization or church congregation. These 'Young Africa REWARDS' may then be used to pay for products and services which help the young individual to develop his or her potential. In order to join the 'Young Africa REWARDS' system, youth need to register as students of the 'Leadership And Entrepreneurship Programme' (LEAP) of the ACADEMY For A Young Africa - another instrument aimed at helping youth at a mass scale develop their potential. The LEAP Course is a mobile learning programme, combined with groupwork in the form of 'Learning Circles'. Through this system, the Young Africa FOUNDATION creates a triple WIN for grantmakers, the communities they support and the youth who are the ultimate beneficiaries of this system: 1) Communities benefit, because their non-profit organisations have the means to reward youth volunteers, thereby growing the capacity of these organisations to provide services. 2) Local economies benefit, because local retailers and service providers can become 'partners' and youth can spend their 'Young Africa REWARDS' at local vendors. 3) Youth benefit, because they can pay for their LEAP Course and other critical products and services through Young Africa REWARDS, while having an opportunity to do volunteer work and gain work experience, while helping to grow their communities. Finally, Young Africa FOUNDATION uses an innovative Management App, which allows Grantmakers can see EXACTLY who is benefitting from their grant funding and what is happening to their grant money - in real time!
