Firstdraft is where the future of contemporary art emerges. Established in 1986, Firstdraft is Australia’s longest running artist-led organisation and is governed by a rotating board of emerging artists, curators, writers and arts leaders. We foster ambitious practices, people and programs that epitomise artistic excellence and champion risk and experimentation. Located in Woolloomooloo on the lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, Firstdraft creates an environment for artists to imagine the expanded possibilities of contemporary art.
