Every day millions of tons of garbage enter landfills all over the globe. Tens of millions more are just dumped. We can do better. The Solv4 Energy solution reclaims that waste and the wasted energy. Our Mission: Divert 100% of municipal waste from landfill, extract the energy and raw materials (biofuels, biochar, metals, and electricity) to make it part of the circular economy, and do it at scale. Our Challenge: Sustainable, Scalable, Profitable Solutions Sustainability – Other solutions become part of the problem. Conventional Waste to Energy (WTE) incinerates it to generate electricity. This makes greenhouse gasses that have to be captured at great complexity and expense. The S4E 1000 Tone Per Day (1K-TPD) facility will annually divert 365,000 tonnes of garbage, 197,000 tonnes of CO2 and 24,898+ tonnes of plastic. Scalable – Solving it in the lab and taking 20 years to get it in use does not help the planet. We started with real-world industrial-scale thinking, focused on proven and reliable systems that manage 1000 tonnes per day (TPD) and more. We analyzed and re-engineered every step of the process until it yielded breakthrough levels. Biofuel production of 159 liters per tonne, from what others throw away. Per year a 1K-TPD facility can reclaim 165,000,000+ liters of biofuel, 36,000+ tonnes of biochar, 10,500+ tonnes of metals, 10,000+ tonnes of hydrogen, and generate 2.6 Million KWH of electricity. Profitable – A solution no one can afford is not a solution. Municipalities are already financially challenged. Capital costs for conventional waste to energy solutions are huge, profits go to the operator not the municipality. Our solution does not require the municipality to fund capital and startup costs because we are profitable enough to privately finance the entire project.
