Founded in 1997 SEK Budapest International is located in the second district on the Buda side in Budapest. With over 30 countries represented in our student body, we are dedicated to offering a well-rounded curriculum that inspires a love of learning, empowering students to be better, and to reach their potential in academic achievement, performance, creativity and citizenship. SEK Budapest offers a curriculum in English and Hungarian with the intensive language program in Spanish as second language at all ages. There are three levels offered to our students aged 3 to 18 to help them develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. The levels are the following: Preschool (ages 3-6), Primary School (Grades 1-8) and Secondary School (Grades 9-12). The school received the authorization as an IB World School in 2005 and since then has been offering the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for students in Grades 11-12. However for Hungarian speakers, the Hungarian National Matura exam is also available.
