Gay Men of African Descent (GMAD), an outreach, education, advocacy, and supportive services organization is mission-driven to improve the quality of life within New York City’s black gay community and its staff and volunteers are almost exclusively representative of the community they serve. Since our inception in 1986, we have acted as a catalyst for building healthier communities for Sexual and Gender Minorities. GMAD is founded in service and sourced by science. Community is our priority, and our business model is humanity. Our mission galvanizes resilience.
