“Lyrarakis Wines” is a family winery, established on the island of Crete, Greece, in 1966. During these five decades, our family has devoted itself to the revival of indigenous, almost extinct, grape varieties of Crete like Dafni, Plyto, Melissaki and others, vinificating wines that highlight their distinctive character. The vision of Lyrarakis Winery is reflected in our logo. The rows and perspective of a vineyard form the Greek letter “Λ” (lambda), which is the initial of the family’s name. The “motion” in these lines expresses the dynamism of the winery, the continuous investment in the vineyard and in research, as well as the new perspectives we are trying to create for Cretan wine and Cretan agricultural production.
