Give a Heart to Africa (GHTA) is a non-profit organization located in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. Our aim is to empower women via education and entrepreneurship. We run a small business vocational school primarily for adult women whom we offer a free 1 year course in English, Business and Vocational skills. Upon graduation we assist some of our students in starting their own small business. Currently we are managing Women's Arts & Crafts Co-operative called Moshi Mamas, Lala Salama Spa and Ushirika Kiosk. Our NGO is run solely by volunteers, the only paid staff we employ are our Tanzanian staff and school translators, all of whom are former GHTA students. Without international volunteers our NGO would not exist.
