Sarum Hall School is an independent day school for girls aged 3 to 11, situated in Belsize Park, London. Founded in 1929, the school has, since 1995, been housed in new purpose-built premises which provide excellent, spacious facilities. Girls are prepared for senior London day schools and for 11+ Common Entrance. Girls entering at age 3 are not assessed, but those joining from Year 1 are tested in English and Maths. They are encouraged to develop a love and interest of learning for itself and awareness that their success in all fields is dependent on their own efforts. A broad curriculum is followed and a major investment in IT ensures that each girl has access to the latest technology. French is taught from Reception and Mandarin from Year 4, and a comprehensive games programme, which takes place on site, ensures that girls have the opportunity to experience a variety of sports. Strong emphasis is placed on music, art, design and drama.
