Cherner Development Group, now in its third generation of family management, opened its doors in the mid 1920’s as Cherner Automotive Group - the first distributor for the Ford Motor Company in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. The company grew to include retail automobile dealerships, a collision repair business that employed over 250 people, two finance companies, and substantial commercial real estate interests and land holdings across the Mid-Atlantic. Today, Cherner continues to expand its real estate holdings while seeking out additional strategic investment opportunities.
