CAIN is a 501(c)3 award-winning non-profit organization that exemplifies churches working together across denominational lines and in conjunction with other organizations, groups, schools, and businesses. CAIN is a neighborhood ministry that transforms lives and inspires hope by providing nutritious food, crisis assistance, resources, and compassion in a way that respects human dignity and builds a more vibrant community. CAIN is committed to hospitality and serving our guests with respect and dignity to remove barriers of stigma and shame for seeking assistance. CAIN assists 45223 ZIP code households who are low-income and under-resourced. with food and other necessities, meals, and shelter offered as tangible expressions of God’s love. Rainbow Choice Food Pantry offers both day and evening hours to increase access to healthy, high-quality, and safe food for food-insecure families in Northside. Phil’s Place is a free community weekly dinner that provides food, fosters a sense of belonging and builds community. In the summer of 2016, CAIN and Interfaith Hospitality Network began a collaborative effort in the use of Grace Place to provide shelter to women and children in transition from homelessness. In 2016, Grace Place touched the lives of our guest residents (45 families, consisting of 45 adults and 93 children) and volunteers (105 volunteers from 25 Hosting Congregations.) That’s 924 bed nights and 2772 meals and a sense of home for moms and their children.
