WorkshopQ- Reuse, Upcycle, Create

www.workshopq.com

Our studio-WorkshopQ started out as a product design studio and has now evolved into a company with a mission to upcycle as much as we can and present it in the form of art to people to educate them about going green and opting for sustainable living options. WorkshopQ started as a design studio conceptualizing and manufacturing home decor products out of waste and recycled materials in 2010 in Jaipur (and have now shifted our operations to Bombay). Our product range comprises mainly of clocks, photo frames, office accessories, etc made from waste such as cardboard, salvaged wood, steel, plastic bags, aluminum, e-waste combined with eco-friendly materials. We have retailed across 40 stores in India along with a wide presence on e-tailing and have also exported to UK, Singapore, Dubai & Kuwait. Over the years, we realized that our movement of upcycling needs more awareness and more permanent solutions. Hence, armed with a strategy to spread 'Awareness through Art', we target public spaces and events to showcase art installations made from scrap and waste. Finding a definitive creative voice has brought about a turnaround in our studio processes which now sit on defining art through sustainability. Our studio looks at fresh approaches to fuse green design and innovation to smooth out the creases between 'green' and 'design'. Our installations are in sync with our USP which is making sure that the 'scrap' and 'waste' is not instantly recognisable. We partner with corporates/organizations that aim to target public spaces and events and spread the message of Upcycling through art installations/sculptures. With this new vision for our studio we aim to educate people about upcycling and make an impactful change in our society.
