Furthermore, the company provides pre-production sampling, Tec packs, toiles, pattern cutting services and small manufacturing orders. Sew it in London run training workshops (women project) in design and manufacturing and weekend creative fashion nurturing boot camp’s for creative young people starting from 14 plus, in addition to providing design and manufacturing workspaces for aspiring designers, start-ups and projects. Skilled trainees have the opportunity to work on their own projects or in-house manufacturing work streams depending on their level of skills, as well as taking part in our private showcase event at the end of each year. The overall aim of Sew it in London is to offer the opportunity to develop a much needed fashion production shortage skills for individuals, creating skilled and employable recruits for the industry. The company is passionate to support the development and growth of the garment production industry skill in the UK and as a result aims to create a network of new businesses that can grow and collaborate with each other’s skills and boost job prospects in local areas and London as a whole.
