Diaz Fritz Group General Contractors was established in 1985 by two enthusiastic and passionate friends who had a dream of building a company that would become sustainable and survive them both, becoming their legacies. They began their journey with a second mortgage of $22,000 as their only working capital, however Del Diaz and David Fritz quickly took to their native roots and flourished, growing DFG to the 6th largest, locally owned contractor in Tampa by 1996. For more than 30 years, DFG has provided excellent service, outstanding quality and forged long term relationships not only in Florida, but across the country. At its core, DFG was built upon principles of community living, giving back and living a modified version of the “Golden Rule,” treat others, but how they want to be treated, this has been demonstrated over and over throughout the years as the executive team has served on City Councils, Mayor’s Advisory Committee’s, receiving Chamber of Commerce Awards, and National Commercial Builder Council awards for quality and excellence. We continue to look for ways to serve and grow the community that gave Diaz Fritz Group its start.
